Dariya Gratte

Artist Statement:

Working from my home studio located in the coastal town of Gnarabup, Western Australia, I produce decorative, functional ceramics as well as paintings.

 My ceramics are mainly hand thrown. I love to experiment using a variety of techniques to alter and add character to the surface of my work, such as carving, etching, piercing and inlaying glazes onto fine porcelain. I am fortunate to live surrounded by nature and the ocean, which is my constant source of inspiration.
