Artist Statement:
What I love about pottery is that the process of combining the elements of earth, water and fire hasn't changed in thousands of years and as a creative medium is accessible for all to experience and enjoy.
As a maker I feel grateful to have been given the opportunity to explore the properties of clay, there is also so much to be learnt about yourself when immersed in the creative process.
I grew up in Bronte and studied Fine Art at Sydney University and later Interior Design, always maintaining a keen interest in ceramics.
There is definitely joy in the making but more so, the satisfaction of creating something unique that others may enjoy too!
