Kaz's work is inspired by the coastal landscape of Maroubra Beach where she lives. She makes streamlined forms in muted tones that can be glimpsed in the ocean, sky, or a gull's wing. The focus is on subtle surface textures created by the interaction of clay, slips and glazes. Each piece is hand thrown on a potter's wheel. Kaz approaches the making process as a form of meditation - each piece is made mindfully at a slow pace.
All glazes are safe for use with food. Hand washing is recommended.
