Amanda Digby

Amanda is a Sydney based ceramic artist working from her studio in
Clovelly. She makes wheel thrown functional work and one-off decorative pieces,
often experimenting with local materials or different firing methods.
Ceramics is all about connection and tactile engagement for Amanda.
She enjoys creating pieces that are quiet but enriching, that become part
of people’s everyday lives.
Originally trained as a Garden Designer, much of her work explores
ideas of nature, landscape, history and place. Inspiration is drawn from
the coastline where she lives and from memories of the UK countryside
where she grew up.
